MOUNTAIN UNION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT
MONTGOMERY CREEK SCHOOL
2014-15 Watch us grow!
Welcome to Montgomery Creek School
Hello and welcome. Montgomery Creek Elementary School is in an exciting time! This school year will bring new changes to our staff, facility and program. To add to the excellent staff in the 2-3 room, the 4-5 room and the Jr High, we are welcoming Nick Prado in the TK-1st room. We are looking forward to our new Pre-school teacher and saying thank you to Melissa Campbell who is devoting her days to full-time motherhood. The school building is rockin' with new construction. New floors in the classrooms and a new Gym floor! We would like to thank the McConnell Foundation for the generous grant that made this possible. New oven in the kitchen, thanks to the Healthy Schools Initiative grant. Even the flag pole is being renovated. See our slide show for more pix on these changes. We have set goals in or Local Control Accountability Plan to start a comprehensive academic intervention program which will include after-school tutoring. Our teachers are planning an exciting year of curriculum including the use of the chromebook laptop computers for every student 2nd grade through 8th, Our beloved SHARE program will be back and after-school fun will be in full force. Look for a mural painted on the North wall and our reader board sign is moving out to the street where you can see it. (Thank you Roseburg Forest Products for use of their signposts.) In short, we are building a new future for this district and its students, families and staff. This is going to be a GREAT YEAR!!! Please feel free to visit us and see the changes. Come by, grab a cup of coffee and check us out.
